A
life long passion for monochrome photography led to
Pauline wanting to study further in order to take
the emotive pictures of the countryside and its people
that she could see around her.
She
undertook and completed a 5 year long part-time Distinctions
Course in Applied Photography under the guidance of
Ron Frampton FRPS. This led to her obtaining her Associateship
of the Royal Photographic Society and subsequently
the professional qualification of Licentiateship of
the Master Photographers Association.
Her
special skills are in the production of the fine monochrome
print with attention to detail at every stage from
the initial taking to the many hours spent in a traditional
darkroom producing the perfect print.
Pauline
has now embraced digital technology with all the advantages
it can bring. Only selected work is now printed in
the darkroom. Film and digital work sucessfully alongside
each other with the use of scanners.
