I have just had a wonderful trip to Cyprus, both north and south. Here is a selection of things that caught my eye. The wild flowers were at their peak, Cyprus has had plenty of winter rain and a cool spring and so I imagine that this year’s display was a good one, we certainly were there at the right time. The show was most definitely on the way out by the time we left.
- Turban buttercup
- Asphodel
- St. Hilarion Castle – the model for Disney castles – look carefully – quite extraordinary building
- Cistus – everwhere – loves the stony ground
- Sage leaved Rock rose – found a comfy place to thrive
- Mimosa – everywhere!!
- Empty roads!!!!! In the north
- Woodland walk to Cantara Castle – lined with wild Cyclamen
- Flowers leaves and rocks
- Swallowtail butterfly came to say hello
- Tea time in the north
- Crown daisies!!!
- Glad to see the fishermen using baskets
- What they caught – plenty of sardines they said. Yum yum
- Cyprus fishing boats
- Empty valleys awash with colour
- Feral donkey getting nosy
- Looking westfrom the most easterly point of the Pan Handle

- Very very pretty but probably not that productive.
- Fabulous Giant Fennel that was absolutely everywhere, so majestic .
