Documentary photography tells a story. This image is one of a series taken to record the 'human' side of the renovations at Taunton Castle as it is transformed into the new 'Museum of Somerset' in 2011.  My photographs will form the basis of the opening exhibition that will be in the fabulous new gallery at the museum. It is due to open at the end of September.

I have been lucky enough to have been given some very exciting and enjoyable commissions. The first was to record a year in the life of Cannington Agricultural college.  Since then I have recorded such subjects as  the building of a boat, old fishermen, built an image bank for the Blackdown Hills, taken portraits of many working people, farming and individual farms. Most recently, I am in the process of recording the landscapes around the new power stations to be built in Somerset.
