A life long passion for monochrome photography led to Pauline wanting to study further in order to take the emotive pictures of the countryside and its people that she could see around her.
She undertook and completed a 5 year long part-time Distinctions Course in Applied Photography under the guidance of Ron Frampton FRPS. This led to her obtaining her Associateship of the Royal Photographic Society and subsequently the professional qualification of Licentiateship of the Master Photographers Association.
Her special skills are in the production of the fine monochrome print with attention to detail at every stage from the initial taking to the many hours spent in a traditional darkroom producing the perfect print. Pauline has found that the skills so painstakingly learnt in the darkroom have now transferred to the computer. Her darkroom experience, combined with her recent photographic training allow her to finish her work to a very high artistic standard. She has all her work printed by specialists using the very latest printers, inks and papers. The results achievable now match or exceed those that could be produced in the darkroom and are fully archival. The latest printing papers are made from renewable sources ie bamboo!! making this a 'green' option as well.
.
Pauline's work has been widely published in local and national publications. She has held many exhibitions that have been very well received. Her prints are now held in an increasing number of private and public collections. Click next for more details..
