This
portfolio of photographs was compiled with the help
of a
The Year of the Artist award. It set out
to pay tribute to some of the many women whose ordinary
working lives show a dedication and skill that often
goes unnoticed.
The
photographs are accompanied by written verbatim statements
taken down by local poet and author James Crowden.
The exhibition of this work attracted a great deal
of interest and with support from the County Museums
a successful grant application was made to support
their publication.
